Not sure if anyone has seen this before but ... http://www.livejournal.com/users/ea_spouse/274.html

It's a long read but worth it, the "anomous" writer makes some pretty big claims ,but seems to have Alot of support. I'm personally thinking of boycotting all things EA if what is stated here is really the truth.

Death to ea !!

heh, What do you guys think?

I didn't take the time to read it but I read two other 'disgruntled-EA-employee'-rants before and while I'm no fan of EA or the way their games are usually in need of quite a few patches before they work... I don't believe these sources completely.
Usually these employees were fired and are thus disgruntled and willing to write all kinds of things just to gain some support or leverage.
However I'm sure some things said are true... just not all of it.

Usually in life...
Not all that is said by suspectedly unfairly treated invidiaduals is true,
either coloured facts, or outright lies /-

But that however does sound quite like Ea from what I know of the corporation /-

Unhappy

Even if the facts are incorrect the general tone seems to be "White collar sweat shop" I'm inclined to believe that.

There are many corp.'s that act in a similar fashion, basically like "Go ahed, complain, there are other people in this company doing s#!t jobs who would love to take your place"

And with the amnt. of money stake... well I just wonder how much of what is said isn't a lie

I have heard this before and EA is not the only company to have this practice. All the big companies do this.

But like most of the replies said, Popularity of the practice doesn't necessarily make it right or acceptable :bleh:

well there are still plenty of smaller outfits around that one can work for - i guess a lot of this work will shift to india anyway in the end. But that said programmers out of work can still take on contract work in new emerging areas and even contribute some work to the open source game movement.

Heres a tip to ex EA workers - invest in shaes in EA at least if bumper profits are being made that flows onto shareholders via dividends etc -

Good point.

Why am i still a newbie spammer? Do i need to actually do a lot of head nodding and agreeing or something to not be a spammer anymore?
