I agree with you man.

I played this game when it was released and it was addictive enough to keep me hooked till the end.

I however couldnt finish it coz the final battle proved too much for me.

Interesting! Same happened to me and in case you understand German, you will see that in the museum I linked to above most people report the same! The final battle is definetely pretty tough, but a lot of people also experienced pc crashes. That's also a reason I'd like to play it again: I always thought my 486 back than just wasn't good enough to handle the action. Maybe under DOSbox it won't crash.

Unfortunately it's not. But it is on Abandoneer. If it's one of those "pirate" sites, please excuse me. It seems to be an OK site (Abandonia is credited as an ally) and i don't know how to recognize good sites from bad sites. I just had the hell of a hard time finding this game (but it was worth it) and i want to help.
As for Dark Sun 2 : Wake of the ravager, it's even harder to find and the only version i could get was so full of bugs i didn't even play more than a couple of hours. :ranting:

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to check or re-check the status of Strategic Simulation inc.'s rpg Dark Sun: Shattered lands. It was released in '94 (The same year as it's engine predecessor Al-Qadim The Genies Curse, which is on this site )

The parent companies website IGN has an entry for it, and seems to point to a free resource to download it, however the website it links to doesn't actually contain the game... Not sure what they're trying to say there.

It is also hosted for download on a site which seemed to be developing the concept for online play (it appears as if they had the blessing of Strategic Simulation) but it looks like the project has died.

I believe it's also hosted on HOTU, not that that means much

I was just wondering because I think it would be great to have this game alongside Al Qadim to show how this particular company developed the series.

Thanks

Since it is sold here no further research is needed.

[edit] HOTU also has a buy link, and that means much. [/edit]
