I smoke... so what? You guys are at least 500 Km away from me so you don't even bothered about that. I don't smoke where I shouldn't, or if it irritates someone, but nobody should tell me that smoking kills you. I tell you, if you live in a big city, you inhale just as much crap as a chain-smoker does, and noone gives a shi1t about that BUT if I DARE to smoke while a lawful non-smoker is in range, I get dissed...

you know, maybe its because he can't do much about it while if YOU smoke, you can just stop it

Personally, I cannot even stand the smell of smoken cigarettes. Makes me sick.
Yuck.
IMO, it's a bad habit, both for your money and health. Basically, you pay for something that poisons you.
That's one of the things that make me think I'll never understand humans.

Well, some people go to disco (specially young people) and pay entre for getting their ears damaged with much too loud music, and then there are some people in the disco (often also young people) which ruin their liver with too much alcoholics. They pay for that also

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Well alcohol is psychoactive, and music is well music, also sort of psychoactive, cigarettes on the other hand aren't...

I think natas pretty right.

Loud music damages our ears, but we still like to hear it / dance to it.

Much alcohol damages our liver and makes us feel rather bad the day after, but we still like the effect of it.

Smoking damages the lungs and costs much money, but still all smokers do it, because they like the effect of it.

So smoking is basically no more bad than loud music or alcohol, at least if you don't smoke the people around you directly into the face :P
