Default What icons mean @ Compatibility?

Hi there!

So I have recently discovered Abandonia and I love it here! I just have no idea what the icons next to "compatibility" mean when viewing a game.

When I click on the icons, they all just take me to www.abandonia.com/en/programs and that has no overview of which icon means what.

Is there a link or a page which describes each icon?

Thanks so much!

I thought they had tooltips. Anyway, the little brown box refers to dosbox. I.e. You need dosbox to play it. Then there's a windows XP logo. That one should be obvious. And there's one for ScummVM, the programme that old LucasArts games run best on. I can't recall any others, unless it's windows 3.1 or 98. Hope this helps.

Hi arete

Thanks for the reply. Do you know what the little stiffy disk drive with the "C:\" means? Is that just a plain DOS game? Basically, will such a program only work with DosBox?

Thanks again for the help so far.

This compatibility icon means it's been tested with the Abandonia Bootdisk. That's only really useful if you can't run DOSBox and have a floppy drive on your machine.

Hi, The Fifth Horseman

Thank you for the reply. I think I understand now enough in order to know whether I can run the games now. Between DosBox and XP, I think that covers most of the games.

I appreciate both your and arete's feedback. Thank you for the help.
