Default Hello, My return to Dos.

Hi, I've been roaming around here for a few weeks and have just joined, I've been gaming for years playing mainly adventure games like the Myst series and RHEM mostly point and click but I am also a Tomb Raider fan.

Due to recent health problems with vertigo I can't play fast moving games as they often spin me out (it's a misconception that vertigo is to do with heights, vertigo is the spinning sensation) so I have almost played most of the slow moving adventure games I have and as there are not many good new adventure games released (just my opinion) I was running out of games to play.

I have a few older Dos games which I tried a few years ago but I never managed to get them working properly so I decided to try again and ended up here, I had heard of Dosbox but never tried it and thanks to the excellent tutorial here I got the games working

I've been playing "Fable" and I have to agree with the editors 5.0 rating, It's a great game, I've decided to build a Dos games PC a true Dosbox, I have a partially completed PC that I was building as a security PC which was going to be connected to four web cams and with a monitor screen built into the case but, change of plans and now it's going to be a
It's designed to have all the cables and I/O panel hidden inside and I've made it so the rear fan vents into a kind of chimney made from perspex that vents to the top of the case where there will be two extractor fans, the sides and top will probably be black/smoked perspex, why I don't know, I just like building and fixing things, probably why I'm a mechanic by trade, here's a couple of pictures of the Dosbox as it stands at the moment.

One question I have is how is it determined that a game has been abandoned, are the game owners/makers contacted?
I have the original (I think) Dos version of Myst for Win 3.1 1997 and wondered if it was considered abandoned?

cheers, Xhumed.
