Default big image problem

i tried to move one 5,xx GB image to my notebook from desktop using:
-ftp tranfer
-default windows file sharing
-real vnc pro file transfer support

but it always puts in 4,yy GB and then stops

i know there was some limitation for file size on fat32 drives but both my HDDs are NTFS so i realy don't know what can be the problem. does anybody know why can it be like this? i have WD1200BEVS, winxp sp2 on the notebook

-------
for now i'm splitting the file in 2 small rar split archives and gonna move it later, but i still don't know whether i will be able to unpack it there and it still bothers me anyway
-------
edit: yay, unpacking after the split and move gave me right file size
..
but now i seriuosly don't know why can't i transfer the 5 GB< file via lan=/

About your problem:
Is inedexing turned off? If not, do so, great chances it will be solved.
