There was an old rpg I played a long time ago. There was a small map on-screen that you walked on from top-down, and when you walked over a stair it would appear. Two spells I can remember would bring you back to the top floor, and then bring you to the deepest floor, and another would reveal the stairs on that floor. In battle you could talk to the monsters and you needed to talk to one in order to defeat the boss on the bottom floor. Finally after beating him, it moved on but the rest you had to buy. I would really appreciate it if someone could remember this.
