ugh i only went to sleep at home yesterday...

anyway i was thinking that prison tycoon reminded me of psychological experiment with students. they divided them into two groups and closed them in a prison. one group was the wardens and had all authorities over prisoners behaviour. The other group were the prisoners who had to obay and take the punishment. well it was supposed to last a month or maybe two. but went sour after two weeks. why? well the wardens quickly started abusing their power and prisoners rebelled.

point is: too much power&authority corrupts people.

That would be the Stanford prison study. It was supposed to last 2 weeks but was abandoned after 6 days as the guards' behaviour became so extreme.

Find out more here (seriously, this is one of the most interesting psychology experiments ever)

And it proves, not that power corrupts, but that the way people behave is based largely on their situation and how that think they should behave. The students randomly assigned to be guard behaved like they thought prison guards do, and the prisoners behaved like prisoners. Some of the participants said afterwards that they were acting for the cameras set up within the prison, but many of the guards behaved cruelly even when they thought the cameras were off (they were told the cameras wouldn't be on at night, they in fact were).

ah great. this means that my professor doesn't know exact time the experiment lasted.. the rest (authority is bad) was my interpretation...

another experiment somehow connected with this one is Milgram's experiment.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milgram_experiment

Both are very interesting in the way people react if they get authority.

But on topic is what would happen if the gave them GTA or some FPS game to play? what about if they gave them Diablo or WoW? that would be an interesting experiment...

How about giving them just tricky games? Puzzles or difficult Jump 'N' Runs? They have to try over and over again or use their brains...
May be they learn to control themselves and cope with frustration?

I think it might give some strange results. They might transfer their anger into the game and actually become less violent, but that's more wishful thinking. To most of people the games would have no effect at all, except for passing the time and a few could actually become more violent as well (but those people are rare too).

Well people with Pedosmile are actually not violent on the outside. Violence is not visible or present all the time. In fact in their own sick world they are probably not violent at all...

More on pedosmile can be found HERE.

Pedosmile is NOT a fact. Just like being bold earliy in life isn't a fact that you're a homosexual. Those are just rumors spread around.
You can't say a person goes around life all the time with such a weird smile on the face and that everybody who has such a smile is a pedofile.

But it's just the kind of BS people arejust too eager to believe so they don't actually have to think for themselves... face it. THAT ist the basic principle of modern day politics.
