Is this the floor of a fountain or a swimming pool. Sometimes they have these round little flagstones that are shiny.

OK, you're completely up the wrong tree.

The object pictured is quite large, the area pictured is about 5 metres long. It is also three dimensional, not just a photo of a flat piece of art.

I find the lack of propper background (except for what sems to be a white filed... ) rather odd.
