Thanks for the support peter, but i only found the above mentioned sound card(lol i don't even know it's name).I am going to buy it because i haven't found anything better, and old sound cards are rare to find(at least in romania they are)

And did you buy the soundcard and could you find drivers? If you look on the internet by just typing "ESS 1868 driver" in a search engine you'll find quite some hits.

Yeah it works and i have sound YAY, thanks for all your support
Funny thing is that it needs no drivers.It runs both on DOS & on Windows without a glitch.

I've got a laptop with a ESS Maestro 2E (or just 2). But I can't find any way to listen to its wonderful sound in DOS... Anyone able to help me?

Well, you need to post more info - what operating system you use, the CPU and probably some more.
