Well, if there is a way to recover those files and you need a big software, I will gladly send it to you by e-mail. I use a cable modem (256 kb/s) and I live just east of you in Romania so we are close to each other. :bye:

EDIT: fixed some spelling mistakes

Thx Fifth Horseman, but we did a ghost copy at the service and then we tried to recover. I know what I'm doing, okay?

@Abi97

Thanks dude, but I have a 56K modem, wich shatters the idea of this transmission . But thanks anyway

If you can send it postal or something, I'd me more than happy

Too bad that I haven't got a CD-Writer. (but you could always use Free Download Manager - ~2 MB the installer; it helped me many times)

Does it give a whole bunch of "fake" foldernames that cannot be deleted?

This is a problem incurred by fat32 and fat formatted hard disks running windows 98, often the problem lies in the actual size of the Hard drive. When you do a scan disk upon boot up, it will change these corrupted files into folders so you can delete them. However, this ruins whatever was in those files.

The only way to fix this is to get a higher up windows OS to allow the bigger hard drive space, or NT in general (which isn't higher up at all )

Any file fixing service will most likely further ruin your custom files. Looks like it is time to build anew
