You can have sounds working on dosbox, at least i did! All you have to do is to run setsound.exe before running trilogy.exe on dosbox. i chose gravis ultrasound and it worked fine for me...

Yes to get sound to work click on the setsound.exe file and select a sound card
If youre like me and dont have a clue what sound card you have This option is a broad range option that is compattible with almost all sound devices Click on " select and configure digital audio driver" Then select "Creative labs sound blaster or 100% compatible" Then select " Attmept to configure sound driver automaticlly" And now you will have sound Arrow move help//Binding Try this if you cant set your strafe to normal arrow keys To use your arrows keys left/right to strafe select keyboard options in the game menu and set the left/right strafe as the numpad Left(4)/Right(6) arrows . This for some bizzare reason sets your normal left/rightarrow keys as your movment wich is wot we wanted in the first place |

The game scans for a compatible video card before staring, is it supposed to have 3DFX support or something?

It's not working very well. The game loads and all, but it goes blazingly fast.
I tap the keyboard once and I'm halfway across the room! Normally I don't want to do this, but how do I make the game go slower? There aren't any video settings in the game... :ranting: |

DosBox is the first thing that comes to mind. There are also numerous CPU slowdown programs that will put extra load on your CPU, thus slowing down the game.

Hi people, First off I have to say sweet site!
Um, I was curious if there is any possible way to change the mouse forward and backwar to mouse look up and look down? I'm kinda hoping to set it up like newer FPS's. Maybie there is a patch like duke nukem or something?? Seems theres no controls config file to tell it to either....Anyone know? Thanks in advance.. |

It seems to me that Alien Trilogy is a bit similar to Doom... ie, no up/down targeting at all.

In Alien Trilogy you can move the view down or up, unlike in Doom. Not sure of the keys though. And no, there's no option to invert the targeting that I would know of.

Hi there!
I downloaded the game, but can't get it to work! I'm using Win98SE When I try to run it, it says it can't find C:cd\sfx\spch.txt When I run the install It complains it needs 8MB ram. Where can I get the pacth for this game? Any help is appreciated! |
