ok lets summarize...

- chkdsk didn't find a thing
- Total Commander didn't work
- Unlocker didn't work either

you should try to change the Owner of the file and then delete it.

but be sure you are logged in as admin ("real one", not as user with admin rights) and assure that this admin is also the owner of this file (RMB on file -> Security).

try running Eraser (has some neat feature - context-menu - to erase recycle.bin btw), Total Commander, Unlocker or whatever, as the very same admin - who owns this file - and delete it then.

should work like a charme...

edit: with "real admin" I meant, that it should be in the correct group of admins as well

I dunno how it's in Shista, but usually you need to have "advanced file sharing" activated to appoint ownership of files - or "simple file sharing" deactivated (to find in "folder options" - any Windows)

GL and tell us how it went

Click the picture that says "GET IT", and again on the second page.

Default Graphics issue

Hi all. I'm running SimLife on my laptop in Windows XP Home, with no DOSbox, and I'm having a graphical glitch. On certain actions (mostly it seems related to the world map window), the graphics within each window will lock onto a section of the edit window - including the dashboard and all the buttons and control windows. In other words, it goes funky, and won't clear up unless I exit and open the program again. Sometimes it happens after a minute or so, sometimes it'll work fine for a good 20 minutes before it happens. Any ideas what might cause this? Is XP that far removed from 3.1 that I need to use DOSbox after all? Or perhaps it's something that could be fixed with memory/graphics card adjustments?

I am being told I have the wrong version of the game. I believe it has something to do with my copy of windows being 64bit, is there some way to run the installer as 32bit?

It's a 16-bit application to start with.
Prescribed solution: Windows 3.11 running inside DOSBox

Okay, let's start with the basics :

When you have DOSBox set up on your machine, you should configure it to automatically mount a directory on startup. Then all you need is to grab this and unpack into that directory:
