Hi there. I just want to say that I REALLY love Abandonia, I think it's great what you guys are doing, and I use the site ALL the time. One thing that always annoys me though is the poor grammar and spelling that sometimes appears on the English version of the site. I know this isn't really anyones fault though, what with the site being run by people from Norway, Croatia, and other such far away places, as well as reviewers coming from all over the world.
I'd like to volunteer to help fix up the grammar and spelling in new reviews, updates, and such like, thus making the pages a bit more reader friendly for those of us that speak only English. I hope no one takes offence to this post. I'm in no way trying to insult the contributors to this site. I'm just a stickler for good grammar and spelling is all. |

Ive been translating a couple of these reviews into french and i rarely stumbled onto grammar errors that could hinder a reader's comprehension
but if u find errors i thinku could like open up a thread and put all the mistakes in and they will be repared |

You should contact Kosta, so your work isn't in vain. Also some contributors might have something against that.

I've actually been considering asking for a position like this for a while, I just never got round to it. I would love to be able to iron out some of the mistakes in Abandonia's reviews.

I'm available too. I proof read sometimes for my company and would be happy to contribute to the site, especially as I can't contribute much technical help.

I have an idea. Since there are many of you (us) that want to help in fixing grammar errors, I will suggest to make this topic "Grammar errors topic", so you can post link to a game with grammar error (and part where is an error) here and admins will then fix that error.
If you didn't get what I mean, here's an example: http://www.abandonia.com/game.php?ID=338&genre=puzzle Quote: Second part of review - 'wander' instead of 'wonder' ~This one is a perfectionist mistake thouh! |

to wander: to go or travel idly or aimlessly. And that's what I think Sebatianos wanted to say. But the grammar correction of reviews is an idea to be put in reality, in my opinion. I'd like you to go through my reviews and fix the errors you can spot. I'll provide some links: Riders of Rohan Adventure Castle Hitchhiker's Guide to Galaxy Rockstar Storm Master thanks for your help :bye: |
