This is one of the best abandonware sites on the web, and my favourite! If we let demos in, shareware will be along before we know it!!!! :ranting:

I'm for high quality full abandoned games. Demos would only probably spoil the good look of the site, so I'm against them.

OK people:
-DEMOS - no way: People looking for something type in the name and bang - there's the site k: wish to have the game :not_ok: oh, it's only a demo the site that offred it.
-Shareware - not on this site please - except if you really find something that is good and would just have to be on the site (like that's ever gonna happen)!!!
-Freeware - a definite maybe - need to check the quality first - some games k: others :not_ok:
Now just look at the vote count and I think most of us agree.

I am new and know my opinion doesn't mean much, but I think of it this way. Demos are not great, but they do give you a good taste of what the full game is like. I think if a special section was annexed to abandonia...LOL....(demonia...)lmao...anyway. Special section for them and it says up front they are demos, it wouldn't be that bad. Especially if they are put through the tight scrutiny i know this site delivers.

Another thing that would make me like them is that I know I can trust you guys to not put out anything harmful to a system. Lot's of sites offer demos...but if i start recalling the number of bad downloads I've gotten over the past year, you'd run out of bandwidth. All I'm saying is no, don't put anything on that would hurt the site, but abandonware isn't going to be pumped out forever. Don't count on ever seeing Doom III released ...well, ever. LOL. Whatever you guys chose to do is cool and has my full support.
