Default wolfenstein 3d or doom rip offs?

Im looking for unique 2d-3d first person shooters like doom or wolfenstein 3d but not the same.and i don't want to pirate. So if anyone can recommend a game, that will be great. And they have to be dos box games or just simple download and install games. And no freeware

Cool

Harmony, a Freeware Doom Clone with totally original art & story.
Here is the official site: Link
Also a bit of blatant self promotion, here is a review of it I wrote a while back: Link

There are "games you may also like" below each review, you can try that for Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Doom II.

If you want to play for free yet stay legal (and you don't want to enter the gray zone of abandonware), there are shareware episodes of "Doom era" games. Heretic, Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone...

And if you want to stay legal, but still play the full game, you can actually *Gasp* buy them. Imagine that! Buy old games at this day and age!

GOG and Steam offer plenty of classics. Cheap too. You can actually buy the all the Doom, Wolfenstein and Heretic games in one pack on Steam.

This is a commendable attitude, and you should definitely check out the following websites, all of which offer shareware games, game demos and freeware full versions:
dosgames.com
dosgamesarchive.com
Demu.org
RGB Classic Games
Smush The Cat
Theodor Lauppert's Game Gallery

In addition to entire shareware episodes of the classic 2.5D games like the ones mentioned above, many games of that era have multi-level playable demo versions, and I've made a list of some of them some time ago.

And here are some freeware titles (some require a source port to play though):

Chex Quest 3 (by Charles Jacobi)
After Digital Café released Chex Quest 2 in 1997, they announced plans for Chex Quest 3, but in 1999 the company was merged with several others and effectively dissolved, and the project was abandoned. The disappointed fans have attempted to make their own sequel, with rather dubious results (the game heavily relied on resources and content that was "acquired without permission" from other Doom modifications and total conversions), and there seemed to be little hope for an official continuation of the story.

However, in 2008 Charles Jacobi, who was the Art Director and Lead Artist of the original two games, announced on the Chex Quest Fan Forums that he was working on the third episode, motivated by the work of one of the fans on a project called The Ultimate Chex Quest. Jacobi created new art and an entire new episode, and also polished the levels from the original two games (there was an issue with Chex Quest 2 that due to time constraints during production, new art and monsters simply replaced the old ones from the original Chex Quest, making it impossible to combine the two games into one WAD without additional editing), and finally Chex Quest 3 was released. Andrew Benson, the Sound Design Leader and composer from Digital Café, created a few songs for the new episode as well. The game runs on the ZDoom engine (which is bundled with the release) and includes all three episodes, making it an official trilogy.

HacX
This game started as a commercial add-on/total conversion for Doom II that did not sell well, and eventually the developers have released it as freeware. By version 1.2, HacX no longer requires Doom II to play, and thus has become a stand-alone, freeware game that can be described as a Doom lookalike with a cyberpunk theme.

The Marathon Trilogy
Bungie had officially released the Marathon series games for free, all of which can be played through the source port of the game engine, Aleph One (contains links to the games' data files too).

Return of the Triad
Return of the Triad is a fan recreation of Apogee' FPS classic, Rise of the Triad that runs on the Doom engine (more accurately, the ZDoom port). It uses the original resources (graphics, sounds and music), and tries to keep close to the original game while utilizing the features of more advanced engine to the game's advantage. The current release, v1.6, has 11 single-player levels which are completely new, and 6 multiplayer maps.

Oh, and how could I forget this game:

Hades 2
Hades 2 is a pretty obscure FPS from a Brazilian studio, Espaço Informática, which was released somewhere around 1999-2000. In 2009, the developers have released it for free to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the game.

It's a 2.5D FPS with high-res sprites, digitized actors and a sci-fi/horror theme, and it has a certain Marathon feel and look to it. It was obviously quite dated already when it was released, so it is no wonder it had gone largely unnoticed. However, it has an excellent retro look to it, and some nice pre-rendered cinematics too.
