Wow, you are perhaps one of the oldest on this site, if not THE oldest
Good to see that there're still people out there who remain young in their spirit. |

I'm an 18 year old Uni bum from Australia studying Computer Science. I remember playing our Commodore 64 back in the day, and also dads 286. Nice memories. I've grown up with computers, but have only recently got one that I can call my own.

No it's not.
Treat your opposite like you want him to treat you... is something entirely different as, Handle nur nach derjenigen Maxime, durch die du zugleich wollen kannst, dass sie ein allgemeines Gesetz werde. (do only that which you can at the same time wish to be a universal law) what this means is that Kant wants you to ask yourself the question, "could I want everyone to act exactly as I am about to act?" To give an example, I am about to break a promise because it suets me at the moment. Can I wish for everyone to break their promises when ever it suets them? Obviously not, so I cannot make a universal law of it and therefore it fails the Categorical Imperative. That this is something completely different from do onto others... I hope I do not have to explain.
