Default [zaphod_x86] Vision: The 5 Dimension Utopia

Hi!

I'm looking for a game that I played on an 486-PC.
You play in the future in a high building somewere off-shore and you have to earn money. After a while you get more reputation and can move upsatirs since you live quite at the bottom in the beginning. The more you move upstairs the better is your job as well. First you deal with recycling or somthing.
After work you can go into bars and talk to people. And you have to watch out to get enough sleep.
The money you earn is measured in Rocks and Rockies for there's some connection to Rockefeller when you make your way thruogh the economy.
And it's a lot about environment, that's why I thought it was ecoquest.
The title screen was with dolphins I think.

No, that's not it, thanks Dave.
The view was first person and there was day and night time. So it might look more like an RPG than adventure-like. People were coming your way.
Your first job was like trash disposal the next one like a treadmill-job.

I wrote pretty much everything I remember in my first post.

No, sorry.

First person view, earning money (Rocks and Rockies) with a job that get better and proceeding daytime.
Living in a tower offshore, having an appartment to get sleep mostly.

It was playable on a 486 macine with 66 or so MHz. And I don't think that game was german only.

I really wonder why nobody knows it.

Thanks for trying though!

EDIT: The first job you could get was something with algae, I think it was compressing them.

You won't have much luck looking for this game on an international forum cause it was a promotional title of the LBS (a german building and loan association for those not knowing).

Ok, enough talk now, the game you are looking for is

VISION

I had lots of hours of fun with this game in the early 90s.
Did you know they also made a second part (VISION 2) settled in space?
Also a very nice game, very similiar to part one though.
Viel Spass!
