Have you tried increasing the cycles in DOSBox? Either press Ctrl f12 (Ctrl f11 to decrease) or set a higher default value in the DOSBox configuration file.

The review specifically said that in Arena there is NO guilds!

Also, like how things move forward - Arena based in a world called Nirn, Oblivion gives us a quest collecting Nirnroots! the main reason to play all the earlier Elder Scrolls games is it makes the later games make much more sense! Like Redguard takes place on Stros M'kai, and that island is mentioned in Morrowind and Oblivion, so if you played Redguard, when other games talk about a place, you can remember visiting it! really makes all the games come together into one big game world!

what a publisher needs to do is make games that are part of a bigger world and when the next game comes out it asks where you installed the previous game and links in with it, so when you get to the edge of game A, game B gets loaded in and the game continues!
