No way is JJ1 better. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 has custom level support (create your own levels and tilesets), custom music suppotr, custom episode support (i.e. create your own JJ2 episodes), 32-player multiplayer support on several dedicated servers, uncountable user-made gamemodes for both single and multiplayer, more weapons, better graphics, more playable characters, larger levels, more animations, more enemies, larger explosions and a dopefish reference. <s>And more cleavage for Eva.</s>

its great how they had a reference to One Must Fall- another great game from Epic, it was a fighting game. There was a picture of a Katana robot in the backgroudn in that weird science level.

Thumbs down

I've got the Christmas Edition from JJ2 from '99 i believe...
At the end of the game they give you a code and says you can go to the project 2 site for extra levels( :eeeeeh: ). Anyway, i tried this but the project 2 site was already gone. I think that the Christmas level pack was WAY to short, only four levels!

Sadly the Project J2 and other such official websites are long gone.
Also, the Christmas pack was never meant as being an expansion, just a small addon for the holidays, so I think it's small enough

I'm trying to run JJ2 one my Windows XP, but everytime I click the JAZZ2.exe icon, nothing happens. According to the Windows Task Manager, that file is operating, yet everything runs as normal, with the exception of the game not appearing anywhere.

Anyone's got an idea on what's the problem?

I'd happily google search if I knew exactly what to search for.

Try rebooting your PC, then run it again. JJ2 should not need to run in any compatibility modes under Win XP. Do you see a purpleish loading bar with the JJ2 logo and Jazz himself? If so, wait till it disappears and then use Alt+Tab to find JJ2. You could try asking for help at the Jazz Ciommunity Forums (do a search for that on Google :P).

Try typing "loadfix -1" before running it.
