Well, let me see. I remember when I first bought this game. At the time, it was my initiation into RPG's as I knew them (I had Ultima 1 before this, which didnt count in my mind), and was thrilled back then.

Today, I still have the CD. But then I was utterly disappointed. Linear plot, "fetch me this quests abound." I just got to the underdark, erased the game, and installed Icewind Dale II. RPG's have come a long way since then, and even for back then, this game was rudimentary.

Good games stand the test of time (Sword of the Samurai). This one obviously doesn't.

it won't be trashed, kos. don't worry. the only change i would do (depends on
what kosta thinks about this) is to swap the "get it"-link with a "buy it"-link,

I cant actually play this game coz every time i pick create a character it asks me for a certain word on a certain page from the manual!!ANyone got any ideas, the manual doesn't seem to be in the downloaded folder or on abandonia.

It seems the game is cracked. Just press enter and it should work. It did for me, at least.

I submitted the game. In same directory i also put a note (in txt file) in the same folder that game is still for sale which i only saw later when i already submited it.
i also wrote that it's release should be discussed having that fact in admins mind.

Anyway, I have the full CD version of this game and the official cluebook as well. Yea the first Ravenloft was the predecessor for this game. I liked it when I played it through the first time, but have had no inclination to play through it again. Maybe I will again soon.

That's strange. What excactly happens when you try to bypass the copy protection?

i have same problem , after copy protection i get this error message

DFMEM:aborted, error=2
attempt to reference invalid handle

What OS do you use? Do you use DOSbox or VDMSound?

I have the same problem and my OS is Win98 SE.
