Trying to recall the name of an antiquated DOS game (circa early 90's?) that was basically a platformer with a level-select screen (had several episodes, the first being part of the shareware version). Story-wise, it's about a dude fighting to take back control of a city invaded by aliens (opening splash screen had something along the lines of the hero looking towards the city). Pretty sure it used a nonfluid side-scrolling system (screens transitioned ala Prince of Persia), and involved flying bat-like enemies or something... oh yeah, the game had some generic "spooky" music thing going on. The game is NOT alien carnage or bio menace (less mainstream than those it seems).

Props to whomever can help me identify this game.
