I know... the title of this thread is probably to broad, but let's start with everything and go on from there.

To get things started I'd like to ask everybody to name 15 movies.
5 classic movies that you would want your children to see (when they are old enough to understand)
5 new movies that you really liked.
5 movies that were really a complete waste of your time (but you watched them till the end anyway).

Must see:
Life of Brian
Das Experiment
Seargent York
Dr Strangelove
Nosferatu

I liked:
Ghostbusters
Karate Kid 2
Good Morning Vietnam
La Vita e Bella
The Stupids

Complete waste:
Mortal Kombat 2
The League of Extreme Gentlemen
Freddy Got Fingered
Dude Where's My Car
Spartakus (I know - it's considered a classic, but it's a Stanley Kubrick movie I really hate).

I agree wholeheartedly with this one!
Sorry I forgot to mention it. I guess: "I'm a man"... "No body's perfect."

And now for Casablanca...
Come on. I simply loved captain Renault.
"I'm shocked. Shocked Rick, to find out there's gambling going on here." A man walks from behind: "here are your winigs, captain."
Or the scene where Laszlo inspires the bar-band to play the Marsseliese - as an answer to a bunch of drunk nazis singing German beer songs.
Not to mention the two imigrants trying to get used to english (because they are moving to America):
"Honey, what's watch?"
"It's ten watch."
"That much?"

I could go on and on, but I guess most people can't see beyond the Ingrid/Humprey love affair (You must remember this...).

EDIT: Timpsi - Coocoo's nest is an excelent movie.
I just remembered another movie that would be worth watching - The Shinigs (with Jack - unfortunately there was a newer version made :not_ok: ).

Never saw that, but I LOVE the books - have you read them, and if so, how did the film compare?

Must See:

Boondock Saints (I'm fairly certain that this is the best movie ever)
Donnie Darko (good one, Beef k: )
The Pillow Book
Prophecy (the series)
Swingers

Liked it:

Empire Records
Go
Suicide Kings
Snatch
Oceans 11

Waste of Time:

Tank Girl
Dumb and Dumber

There are probably lots more movies I could add to each category, if I could just think clearly.

Also, Beef, you should definitely watch LS's Series of Unfortunate Events... it's beautiful, and generally awesome.
