OK, here's the scenario:

You are about to be stuck on a desert island, you can take with you:

1. A piece of music
2. A book
3. Two luxuries
4. One type of food and one type of drink you would be stuck eating and drinking

I would take:

1. Led Zepplin - Stairway to Heaven
2. George Orwell - Nineteen-Eighty Four
3. A really comfy bed and my computer
4. Lasagna and pure orange juice

What would you take?
Oh, and no saying "I would take a boat." or "I would take a phone so I could dial the costguard and get home.". You are stuck there.

I would take

1)Pink Floyd: Brain Damage

2)An unabridged dictionary

3)My computer and My girlfriend (A luxury, correct? LOL )

4)Hamburgers (juicy ones, not dry) and water.

Pink Floyd is a great Band, and I feel like that song!

I could always bone up on my english (even though I speak it)

Computer (well that one is a duh) and girlfriend needs to be there with you so you are not lonely.

And Hamburgers I could never get tired of. Water is nice and refreshing, and needed too!

1) Nujabes - Battlecry

2) The Kama Sutra

3) luxuries? Milla Jovovich and a few thousand pounds of assorted date-rape drugs, just in case.

4) Pizza and Tequila

Might not live too long, but damnit, it would be worth it.

1. Thrice - The Red Death.
2. David Eddings - The Redemption of Althalus (spelling?????????).
3. Bowling Alley and computer I guess.
4. Kebab and pepsi.

I'd probably go crazy if I listened to the same song over and over again.

I chose that book because I haven't read it.

I'd rather die than not be able to bowl.

Pepsi is so great. k:

1) Aerosmith - Don't want to miss a thing.
2) Frank Herbert - Dune
3) PC and a Broadband Connection
4) Pizza and Milkshake

The book and music wouldn't matter with my PC there, and you know that you can always build a bed out of some handily washed up wood and sheets that always seem to be on these desert islands.

1) I wouldn't take any song, if I could only choose one. I'd rather take some instrument, which is not an option.. So: Nothing.

2) The Thornbirds by Colleen McCullough. Wonderful book.

3) My boyfriend and a pillow.

4) Pizza and orange juice.

1.) A snare so I can practice on it. And don't give me a strange look, if I really were to bring a piece of music with me I would need to add something in the luxury section to be able to listen to it. A CD doesn't play well alone.
2.) A big one. The pages would probably be nice to help start the fire at night. Let's be frank here, who would rather keep a book and read it X time when your life is on the line?
3.) Nice question. I think something like a gun with plenty of bullets to defend myself would be wise in such a situation, so that's one. The second... A female friend that I like very much? Like my ex for example. If we are stuck alone together for a long time it could turn out very nice...
4.) Type of food: cooked. Type of drink: something non alcoolic and easy to drink. Fresh water would be best.

Edit: I've just read some of the posts above mine and you guys make me laugh. I think some of you did not really understand the concept of the question... If you were to bring a PC or something similar to your (deserted) island, how would you plan to use it without electicity? And batteries are not an option either, it would not last long enough to use it more than a full day. Perhaps some of you should reconsider and at least ask for some solar panels in the second choice.

Iron: water surrounding the island is salted water and you can't drink that. As for the water on the island then a nice spring with good water would be heaven for me. I don't ask for more.
