I want to upgrade my ram. My pc is a emachines T4150 and I lost most of the manuals. Is there a program that can tell me what type of ram I need? On my case it has a sticker saying 256Mb os SyncDRAM. Isn't DRAM a formfactor? or am is it the type? even then I need to know how fast the RAM needs to be.

tried EVEREST the freefreddy posted, and benchmarked the pc. Say my pc is PC133 SDRAM, so hopefully this is correct. I will do some more inspection later.

Just call the shop that sold oyu the computer and they will be able to tell you everything you need to know. SDRAM btw can no longer be bought at most shops as it is outdated.

Of course they would. A friend of mine has a six year old PC and needed to know what mainboard drivers he needed to install after a complete re-install of Windows. He called the company and it took five minutes to figure it out. That was after a full day of pointless going through boxes and internet browsing to find it out.
