Not sure how to put this, and don't want the officers at Abandonia to get mad. Why not drop all the games off the site that are ESA? Would it not save bandwidth? I mean although it is interesting to read about some of them, if a game becomes off limits why not remove it for room for your game you will get later? just a suggestion.

Because this is a museum and a place to preserve old games, even if they aren't available. Also, some of the games we have up will change status, so rather than having to write a whole new review when it IS released, we just leave them as is.

I was asked this before. I told the guy that we still honor the hard work our reviewers and translators have done.

The bandwith we would save is minimal.
A normal page is not made up of THAT many KB's... and if you compare it to a 15 MB archive that is downloaded, it's a drop in the ocean. The review itself doesn't use any bandwith until someone requests the page you know, and the discspace is no issue realy

Well like I said it was just a sugg. I thought you would be able to save the review and everything perhaps to a cd? But if it does not really use bandwidth I guess it does not matter. I just kept reading about bandwidth being used. It must have been about people putting up links or something? mg2:
Thank you Titan for explaning to me. k:

On a site of this scale, saving anything to CD is not an option.

Cause then people wouldn't go asking "do you have this?" when its ESA, they just check the site (well, the smart ones at least xD)

And then there's the games that were abandonware, so they were uploaded and then ESA said, that it's protected again, but the review is still existing.
