do NOT use m.e...
M.E. This OS is a major security malfunction and more than 500 updates needed to make it more secure. It uses the same format as Win98 and doesn't run as fast. Also, its dos has been even more limited...

If you want XP for programs, perhaps windows 2000 might be good for you. It's not a gaming OS, and it doesn't require as much beefiness as XP.

The fact that Win2k is not a gaming OS wouldn't help me too much, even if in the last week I played only once on a game for AR. I'm too busy doing my homework and learning for school

Wipe your documents save the games you actually play but delete everything else. Saves GB upon GB

I say why not?! It differs on what you use your computer for.
Here in my dorm i have 333Mhz,196RAM and :help: Win XP professional... :help:
what i can say its a while you wait till it loads up, but after that its not such big deal..i use this comp just for internet surfing and abandonware...also, it wouldnt kill ya to have both XP and 98 on board.
