After much deliberation, I have decided to turn to you for help. I am trying to run 50 Mission Crush, a far under-appreciated abandonware game. I have two versions of it, an Apple //e .dsk and a .exe which does not run on my 64-bit Windows 7.


I am puzzled as to what to do on either one of them. The first is after mounting FIFTYMSN.DSK and hitting the run button, just like it says in the manual.

The second, in DOSbox, is after mounting the .exe and running it. I can't do anything here.

As far as DOSBox goes, this game was apparently made for Tandy-1000. Try setting machine=tandy in dosbox.conf before running DOSBox and the game.

Where is dosbox.conf, exactly? It's not in the DOSbox folder.

I found it and edited it. No luck, same screen.

No need to set dosbox to tandy mode, it's a BASIC coded game, runs fine in dosbox's default config.

You obviously screwed up somewhere, but without any details from you I can't even guess where.
I think your launch params are wrong, you probably launched 'basic.exe' without the needed game load params ??????
