If they manage to make it more creepy than the cheesy 80's movies of Freddy Krueger it may turn out to be something neat. Though I tend right now to second the opinion in the first post.

What? It still hasnt premiered?
In any case, I say the same I said when I saw it first time: To me it looks like a solid remake of the first movie. Nothing more or less. The first one was good, but I rather enjoyed the more cheesy Freddie movie. |

Guide to modern horror movies:
1) Make a decent horror movie. 2) Make into a franchise with lots of crappy sequels. 3) Wait ten years then make a crappy remake. |
