So, is Evil 2 like AoD where its more of a commedy, or is it more horror like the first?

Comedy mostly, but it has horror elements.
And you might not think it funny, unless you have a open sense of humor.

i'm also a huge fan of the games series.. (specially 1 - 1R - 2 - CV - CVX)
but the movies are a poor adaption, the lack of authenticity, a cheap script, bad acting all this makes the movie more or less boring. The newest part "After life" is no exception, from what i heard about it.

You know what might make a good horror series? System shock. Think about it, most of the enemies are mechanical or bioroids so you don't need a lot of crappy CG, just costumes and makeup.


Either that, or Hideo Kojima's Snatcher.

Without CG, how will they create Rumblers or SHODAN?

I posted it once before, System Shock has no character interaction in it really, so if they want to make a accurate film, it'd be very, very, lonely.

The rumblers would need to be CG, but they don't have to be abundant. As for SHODAN,she communicates through email for the most part, so you don't really need to see a computer terminal with her image until much later in the game, and Xerxes will be CG. I'm just saying that you don't need to drown it in Computer graphics for it to be good.

As for the subject of loneliness, loneliness is a big part of the atmosphere of SS, but whether it can be made good viewing material depends on how they go about it. They are movies with a dismal amount of characters that can still be considered enjoyable. (I like cube, for example)

Since that game is "heavily influenced" by "Blade Runner" and "Body (surprise, surprise!) Snatchers", I don't think it would make for SUCH an original movie

You don't ever meet ANYONE in person in System Shock 2.
You can't have a movie with only the main character himself, even if there are evil creatures with personalities.
It can't really work at all.
