I think its silly question but still I am going to ask.
For the last one month I am receiving a lot of offline messages from people in my Yahoo Messenger Buddy list which says that Yahoo is closing down because of some reasons. Here is the sample one:-
"
HEY ITS CHRIS, FROM THE DIRECTOR OF YAHOO, EVERYBODY SORRY FOR THE ININTERRUPTION, BUT YAHOO IS CLOSING THE SYSTEM DOWN BECAUSE TOO MANY BOOTERS ARE TAKING UP ALL THE NAMES, WE ONLY HAVE 57 NAMES LEFT, IF U WOULD LIKE TO CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT, DONT SEND THIS MESSAGE, IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT, SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST. THIS IS NO JOKE, YOU'LL BE SORRY IF YOU DONT SEND IT. THANKS DIRECTOR OF YAHOO, TIM BUISKI, WHOEVER DOESNT SEND THIS MESSAGE YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DEACTIVATED AND IT WILL COST YOU $10.00 A MONTH TO USE IT. TO SEND TO EVERYONE ON YOUR LIST RIGHT CLICK ON YOUR GROUP THEN CLICK SEND
"
I guess Yahoo Messenger is a very famous one and you also use it. If yes, then please tell back whether that message is true or just a joke!
Thanx

It appears the "director of Yahoo" doesn't need to be a genius at spelling. Or grammar. Or English.

Besides, the CEO of Yahoo is Terry Semel.

this is the oldest joke in the book (which ever book that might be): the chain letter. they used to do those with real paper letters back then too.

Yahoo is doing well and they have no reason for closing down

That is a chain letter indeed. Yahoo! could not be closing so suddently, they are doing very well as far as I know, and what was that about 57 names remaining, I don't understand, names of what?

It's called a chain-mail.
I usualy instantly block ppl who send it to me.

If you analyce the message you recived, you'll see a MAJOR flaw:
Data trafic is NOT free... it cost... So if you send a message, you actualy cost THEM money, and a company in crisis would not want that...............

Sugest you get rid of the person who sent you this.
