Default Monitor won't start along with PC

Um... for some reason, the CRT monitor in my old PC doesn't turn on when I turn on the PC itself. It does respond when I open the AVR. It doesn't make an orange light (which indicates CPU-related problems, I think) but it does show a green, blinking light (which is idle mode). The model is a Samsung Magic SyncMaster FD173AP. Unplugging-replugging the power used to work, but now it doesn't.

I tried plugging the monitor to this other PC, and the same thing happened.

well, when I got it right... you tried the same CRT on two different pc's... and still got this green blinking light...

did you exchange the cables yet? may be a cable-break.

Either the computer isn't sending any signal, or the monitor is broken, or the cable. Since you tried it with two different computers... Let's hope it's the cable.

I frankly don't know how someone can break a monitor cable, so it does sound like a dead monitor to me...

Turns out that the graphics card on this old PC was loose. My dad fixed it back into place and it works fine now.

Same as Japo.

Both cards were loose?
