Anyone remember this game? I could never beat it on PC, but my best friend was able to beat it on the SNES. Just curious if anyone still has the PC version and can share it.
Anyone who wants to chit chat about this game is welcome too. I'm feeling nostalgic. I really loved this game when I first started playing it. I remember never being able to get the prisoner to talk to me, so I couldn't ever figure on where to go or what to do. I was able to strengthen my characters to be virtual invincible over time and killed everything I could gain access to. That was about all I could do since the plot just wouldn't unfold on my old 386. Anyway, did anyone else play this?

I did, on a friend's Amstrad 1540 years ago. I was impressed but the game and how good (he had an EGA card) looked. I remember the cool graphics of your people (shields especially) and how you would (with space) change from a "first" perspective travelling/roaming mode to 3rd for interaction and fighting. (it just hide the people in your team). There was also that annoying dragon during the night that would kill your team, and of course the very very nice cycle of day/night. I liked RPGs before that one but I think it was the first RPG that I thought "this is a cool game".

I remember it--done by the same folks who did the Ishar series, as I recall. Kind of strange, but wasn't too bad.

funny thing about the SNES release was that they didn't put in all the different types of armor so that you could see the design on your character. They did put in many, but not hardly all. My best friend was able to beat it but I was able to see all the equipment and stuff. I also remember a lot of the dialogue changed to the snes version, that's why I was interested in retrying the PC one. Maybe I'd recognize something different with adult eyes this time.

Sorry, I've never heard of the game, the only game I've heard of that sounds like this one is Drakan... but that's a slightly different (and newer) game.

yeah, I have Drakan : order of the flame... and it works fine without dosbox or anything, but it is far different.

Well, I downloaded it from that site and was able thru dosbox and windows to run it, but the sound won't kick in. Any ideas on how to fix that? I didn't see any setup options for anything other than video.
