Did hell freeze over?
Today, I bought the most recent issue of a local gaming magazine.
When I came back home, I've popped the cover DVD into my drive and looked at the list of contents. Fast forward to Trailers. Fast forward down the list. And the whole world turned upside down. Because, you know what happened? The oldest "still being worked on" piece of vaporware known to Man... ... precisely that! ... DUKE NUKEM FOREVER... Just got an official trailer with some (apparently) in-game graphics.

There was also a nice recent rumour this week at gamespot that was reporting that the game might see the light cough cough in 2008.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/show_bl...wstop;title;15 Turns out that the news was simply a goal set out by Take Two that was misread, by the Dallas Business Journal, at this point the only time I will believe the game will ever come out, is when I go to the store and see it on shelve.

If it will indeed 'come back', then it'll have to be redone basically from scratch. Everything that was shown last time it was previewed is completely and utterly outdated now.
I don't know what to think of it, honestly. I seriously doubt it'll live up to the hype, if it ever sees the light (which I find rather unlikely, too). Also, 2008? I don't think so, unless they've been working on it secretly for years (with an engine that isn't surpassed by Half-Life's). |

I say that when Duke Nukem Forever comes out is when the Pope gets laid. In other words NEVER. Its like waiting for Starfox 2 to come out on the Snes system.
