I find it rather awesome how all these ideas put in Zeitgeist exist for years ('cept the 9/11 part which is more recent). Most of the literature quoted in Zeitgeist is in the mild case dubious pseudo science, and lots of it is older than a century.

But when someone makes a movie about it, and puts it on the internet FOR FREE, it's suddenly a holy grail of truth, an eye opener and what not. I find that really sad, people are too lazy to read books and really think for themselves, analyze etc. They rather watch a movie on the internet where all the thoughts are compiled, and everything is served right on. Zeitgeist is kind of like McDonald's of the conspiracy theories.

Yes, it contains stuff from back then, but why does that make it inherently false? These movies should make you think, but it's no holy grail.
Zeitgeist doesn't say anything new. It only contains stuff that most people already know: the economy is in danger, the government is corrupt, the big companies are a bunch of asses...etc. Mainly that's why, like your said, that people don't read and think about these things, because people are too lazy. Zeitgeist is just a compilation of information. It doesn't really give you any new knowledge, but it makes you think, and makes you want to find out if it's true or not, either to prove these things to yourself, or prove the movie wrong, either way, you are looking for new information, digging on the internet, reading stuff you never wanted to before...

The haters all say, that it makes you believe there is no God, it makes you believe the Government is against you....etc, no that's not true. The movies only shows you information you surely already knew, but it puts it into a different context. Most people know there was a Egyptian god named Horus, most people know that at 911 there were things that does not go on all fours, and most people are aware of the economic crisis that is sweeping the world right now...
