Default Problems...

For a while now, every game I dl from your site doesnt work. I unzip it, and open up the app. Then a cmd screen comes up and does about 2 lines of something and closes. Im running XP, and just about everything has this problem except for X-Com. Most recently, Syndicate hasn't worked for me. I tried the "main", "intro", and "dos4gw" .exes and they all do the same thing. I even tried the batch file which actually stayed open for more than a second, but still closed. Any tips on how to fix?

Hi! Well, as you probably might have guessed by now, these are all DOS games, and weren't designed to run under WinXP. For almost every game, there is info about under which operating systems it will run properly. But this also can't be taken for granted as some aspects such as graphics card and permissions can also influence the execution of a game. That is why I recommend that you download the abandonia's boot floppy and run the games from DOS mode!

Jagged Alliance is DOS but DOSBox is not fully compatible with it (yet).

DOSBox is an ongoing project and especially newer games will have problems running.

You don't have to install it, just run UFO.exe (NOT UFOdefence.exe). All the music is just bleeps so the sound does not have to be set up. I have XP and it works just fine like this.
