I've got to be honest, although I am a big fps fan, this never rocked my world. I found it bland and repetitive. Back in the day, I enjoyed terminal velocity a hell of a lot more.

Ys, my spelling sucks.

Yes, you can play it in Windows XP, but then it's so fast that you cannot steer correctly - anything happens in milliseconds there. Probably it won't be that slow in DosBox too, it just needed an 386DX as the minimum requirements back in the days so it's pretty fast coded.

Ok game but not so revolutionary. Not that kind of game that I like to play after years..

Yet again, try these ones, it should work

Type while playing:

GABBAGABBAHEY (cheat mode on)
SCOURGE (weapons + energy)
MITZI (keys)
RACERX (invulnerability onn/off)
GUILE (invisibility onn/off)
TWILIGHT (shield repair)
FARMERJOE (skip level)

No need to thank me

for all the users who can't run it on windows, search for something called d1x. its a windows version of the descent executable made from the released source code.

Ah yes, Descent, I still have my original copy. I'll prolly upload the Anniversary Edition, it adds some new official levels and comes with a bunch of levels from a contest Interplay ran.

I remember watching someone play this game many years back and was fascinated. Playing now... not nearly as entertaining. Just too hard to control i find.
