Also, do I have to bury (use) the Moonstones I got when I freed the shrines?

This game is simply SOOOO good! The graphics seem great despite of their age (and look as good as those of later RPGs, including SNES RPGs from a few years later); the story is excellent and gripping; and there is an enormous amount of attention to details, including a huge number of unique NPCs.

The single real disadvantage this great game has is the fact that there is only one save game slot; if you screw up, you have to start again from the beginning.

I screwed up: I left my ship at what I believed to be Trinsic and then used the red moongate to teleport away to Britannia, but when I went back there the ship wasn't there. I suspect that I left it in Serpent's Hold by mistake... So I either have to raise another 300 gold (time-consuming bash at the Cyclop's Cave), or start again...

You can always do what we did when the game came out: copy your save to another directory, give it a new name, and note down when it occurs. So you can always backtrack to a computerized catalog of saves. Sure, it's cumbersome, but it worked then, and it'll work now.

That's exactly what I intend to do this time around...

Did you know that when you get the Book of Mantras at the library in Lycaeum and go with it to Spirit Wood at the time when it becomes darker, and speak there with one of the wisps, you'll get so much gold that you won't be able to hold more than you and all of you companions can carry? Deposit it at a chest in your room or similar for later (better split it up or you won't be able to pick it up anymore because of weight) and you don't have monetary problems in the game for a looong time anymore.

Thanks for the tip

I've already restarted the game (and had a great success at it this time), but I'll be sure to try this out.

By the way, is there any place I can sell rings, gems, oil and so on? I know that blacksmiths but arms and armor, but does any NPC buy other stuff?

I can't seem to find Dungeon Destard (in which there is supposed to be a dragon's egg for the map quest). It is supposed to be west of Trinsic, but the only thing I found in the mountains to the west of Trinsic is a cave named Heroes' Hole. Is this the dungeon with a different name?

If the caves didn't move a great distance between U6 and U9, then Destard should be NW of Trinsic, at least that's what my memory tells me
