No wonder about that, but there are countries in which winter sports are very popular...

[/b][/quote] And in the world, because only some country´s in Europe see the games, if you go to Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, nobody see the games, and we are talking about 2/3 of the people of the world, so only a minority see the games.. |

On the other hand, I can see them and I find them way better than the Summer Olympics. The events are much better.

North America, Western Europe, Japan = the biggest market
Add Eastern Europe, Russia and Scandinavia to this... So money wise they're definetly not unpopular...

Not to mention their popularity is growing! Adding some more indoor sports would not kill the sports, but boost the Winter Games.
The first Winter Games started with only 16 countries, now there are 80 of them and the number will keep on growing. But it's more difficoult for warmer countries to compete, because they can't train that well (remember Cool Runnings). |

I liked so much the flaming-head skater :w00t: that was so original and... hot! Peter Gabriel ruined "Imagine"... |

I agree, it sounded like he was burping (great choice of song, but should have asxed somebody else - like Elton John maybe).
The "White dove of peace" number was my favorite (and the ski jumper was excelent too). I mean, to coreograph so many people inot making giant moveing images (or paintings) that's just - performace art at its peak k: |

:not_ok: down with these Olympic Games!
A lot of tv-programmes are cancelled, the Olympic Games are seemingly more important. |
