I'm really looking forward to "The Movies" where you own your own movie studio and you have to make films by hiring actors, building sets, managing catering etc. but also designing your own movies which you can watch and place on the lionhead website where they'll hold awards ceremonys. It's the personal project of Peter Moyelneux who is making Black and White 2 (which I am also looking forward too).
GTA : San Andreas is looking brilliant and all PS2 owners will be smug about getting the game first but when it comes out on PC and everything has been improved (as was the case with the two previous GTAs) it'll be us PC gamer's turn to be smug. |

Diablo is not my kind of game either. I like Baldur's Gate I+II far better. Even Icewind Dale is better in my opinion.

I'm sorry, but I greatly agree with Pizzard on this one. Baldurs gate 1 and 2 were faaaaar better then Diablo. Even Icewind Dale 1 and 2 surpassed Diablo in my opinion. The reason I never liked Diablo is because the point is way to linear, kill things to get more powerful, to kill bigger things. There was hardly any plot what so ever. I mean Icewind Dale was pretty much pure hack and slash, but even that game had a plot. NVN was in my opinion almost as bad as Diablo cause they baiscally got ride of the great engine used in the previous games and used one very similar to Diablo. I liked controlling 6 people, at least that way there was more strategy then kill it before it kills you which was common in NVN. Kk, done ranting,

Yes, the party is hardly missed in NWN. But, Diablo II still has MANY followers, so you can assume this game has it's fun

To me, Diablo2 is simply not a RPG, whereas BG1,2 definitively are. I also didn't like NWN as much as I should It did miss some real RPG feel. Also it was very very linear. Even the expansions had a completely similar type of campaign (single player). However, probably NWN is great for multi-player, but I never tried that.

I agree with you. I think Diablo II might be fun for a lot of people, I don't really perfer it, but to each his own. I think Diablo II is deffinatly not a true RPG, it doesn't even come close.
