I gave up and start again LOG, being very careful.
But new terrible problem:
- Map (in fact TAB button does not work!!

Very strange; when i start old saves Tab is working but in the game not! I deleted file grimrock.gfg, i checked Options and again choose Tab still no effect. Rats!!!

Ah, come on, it wasn't needed to re-start (except if you want to found more secrets or check every pit, or make right map. Do you know about secret right in the start room? . There _is_ food respawn, in most snail groups (and there are more than one. And there are better respawning meat-monsters down below). But yes, game is worse in this aspect than LoG2.

Tab is stranger though. Are you sure that you didn't mess something in the options?

My dear SS,

No, i didnt mess something in the options.

Once again: When i start saved game form my first gaming all is OK.

Now i will change my PC.
- I will change my keyboard.

If no effect my last variant is - to copy all maps and play the game after these maps.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

- No, i do not know about the secret in the start room.

SS,
i did enter the trapdoors NN 10, 11 after my above map and staying more than 5 minutes. No snails respawned.

I played LOG2 and havent any food problem.
In LOG battles are more hard anyway.

Traditions from Dungeon Master are reborn here.

BTW, this game and The chaos returns make me upset and crying

down the floor.

The second game was impossible for me.

After 100 days of tests i stopped.

Do You have similar game case?

Maybe you activated oldshool mode, thats why there is no map.

Hmm. I can be wrong here (actually, game have quite enough food to explore up to the ~10Lvl without need to retrace your steps), but I was sure that every snail location respawns. Still, no monsters respawns under your nose - you need to be quite afar from the spawn point. As I remember, it was only one location, deep down, where endless skeletons appeared right beyond your field of vision... Still, next floor is definitely far enough, so if you was in trapdoor, and then ascended back, and no snails, it's a fat chance that _there_ they are not respawning, right.

Umm... No. Usually I feel my inability to play the game right from the start, and lose interest immediately. Super Meat Boy, Bit Trip Runner, such things. Still, there _are_ games that I cannot beat even if trying, but it's mostly because of my lack of expertise, and too small amount of attempts: Spelunky, Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac and every roguelike are from this category.

Note: sometimes Mushroom-like creatures leaves food.

But i have Mortar and empty vials and recipes? Why?

Such instruments presume food preparation. Hmmm

For what i remember you cant reduce cast time.
