Try DOSBox 0.74; Thank you Jesus Christ I got this 5 years ago from www.dosgames.com referral to the original website. Just unRAR and run. You'll have to learn a bunch of new commands but it has sounds. pcem and msdos emulators usually don't have sound at least on my end because of modern machines.

Here is the official website: https://www.dosbox.com/

However they are the group who work on it directly so they might be changing it all the time. The attachment I put up here is from 5 years ago and has been working for me for that long.

If you have a folder like jim1 just double click DOSBox and mount it:

mount c c:\jim1
c:
dir *.*/w/p

look for any files that have the name of your game or install or ending in exe or bat or com. Just type the filename.

I am assuming that it is a DOS game. Windows 98 I believe does run DOS game however the speed might be faster.

That's probably because Earthworm Jim 1 and 2 are DOS games, and they will need you to install DOS drivers for the Sound Blaster 16 in order to play any sound.

You can run them under Windows 9X, but it's far easier to use DOSBox. No need to install any drivers with it.
