While I was looking around in the master settings file for Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition, a recent Steam purchase of mine, I noticed three lines of code which peaked my interest:



For those not fully versed in gaming technobabble, "npatches" (better known as N-Patches) are a form of tessellation, which would normally be found in DirectX 11 games. Because I want the post-apocalyptic state of Nevada to look as awesome as possible, I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not these settings actually do anything.
