If your a idiot what am I? LOL... following the instructions in the first link you gave I am now formatting DOS to follow the C: drive, but even after copying what it says to and pasting on bottom of page, saving even, directing it to C:, DOS still comes up on the Z drive... Same problem I had last time I followed this. I noticed though the download I have is 7.0, and in the directions it uses 6.3, any significance?

now after you mounted your drive, you need to get in to it. so type in "C:" and you will be in C drive. (if you mounted d, type d..) and to move in folders type "CD <folder name>"

Ok... at this point either i'm a complete idiot or the program isn't working right...

I type in exactly as follows:
mount c c:\docume~1\user\desktop\landso~1

and what results is:
Directory c:\docume~1\user\desktop\landso~1 doesn't exist.

Z:\>

am I doing something (else) wrong still?
