Hello.
I see that the Size is still listed as being 161025 kb. Since you have changed the archive to have the Dagger.exe file inside instead of the Dagger.iso the new size is now only 99,513kb. Maybe the game page could be changed to reflect that.

Hi all, I'm new to the forums.
I've just installed Daggerfall but I can't get past the "select home province" screen. I click with the mouse on a province but nothing happens... Any advice?
I'm running DOSBOX on Win Vista 32.

Hi,
Travel map
Right clicking on the Map icon on your character sheet brings up your Travel Map.
Although it is possible to walk to any location in the Lliac bay (I used this option once- I was badly wounded and fast travel was impossible. I traveled about 35 minutes real time but reached home town-Wow.), this may take hours of real time, so it is often preferable to “fast-travel”.
Click on the region you are interested in visiting. Your own region blinks.
Once you get a close-up of the region, move your cursor over the dots to see the names of each of them. It can be difficult to get the arrow onto this dots. Clicking the right mouse button on the map will blow it up even further. Selecting FIND will allow you to type in the name of a place and have it located for you. In most cases you only need to type in the first part of a place name to get a match. Click the I'M AT button to see where your character is currently located.
The 4 map legend items also act as filter. Clicking on one of them hides that type of place on the map. Clicking on it again revels them. Most regions in Daggerfall have hundreds of map locations. Late in the game, these filters will become very handy.

Travel Options
After a location is selected, press the OKAY button on the Travel Options menu to begin your trip.
You have a variety of options, which will effect your speed, fatigue from the trip, and the odds of avoiding wandering beauties.

@Elishalai, are you clicking on the Imperial Province? You can't have a character from that one, you have to choose one of the others.

Oh, so sorry if s(he) in the beginning and still creating character...

Anyway soon or later every player has to visit new provinces and towns, so my quotation is not useless, dear Japo.

I encountered the same problem as elishalai. the problem seems to be that the mouse is not activated in the installed version.

To all the people having problems installing and running this game this is what I did to get it finally to run.
mount c c:\oldgames (oldgames is the directory where it is installed)
mount d d:\ -t cdrom -ioctl -label Daggerfall I'm using the cd version which I got from someone
Z:\C:
cd dagger (always use the change directory command, never do
mount c c:\oldgames\dagger)
c:\dagger\dagger
I found a lot of games which do not work on frontends and do not like their directories to be mounted.

trying to run daggerfall in dosbox but get the error message "daggerfall has encountered error 0" have i installed something wrong or not set the program up correctly? any help is greatly appreciated. thanks.
