Civ series, MOO series and MOM are huge time sucks... I refuse to install them anymore unless I have a few weeks to spend alone with them, so IO don't install them
RPG's in general. The Gothic series (I haven't tried NotR yet, though I do have an ISO somewhere) the Elderscrolls series, KOTOR, NWN, etc, etc, etc. There is nothing I enjoy more than hunting down the big bad and training my character(s) to so they're able kill/defeat them. |

For me this has only happened with rpg's never like, adventure games, I think it has something to do with the fact that you don't really use the brain to solve puzzles and listen to dialouges as much when it's games like baldurs gate and something as sucky as might and magic 6, which I wasted MANY hours playing, like 4 years ago

Biggest time sink for me was an MMO called Asheron's Call 2, first and only MMO I had ever subscribed to. At first I used to roleplay a lot and only play casually, but then I got caught in the crafting/resource grinding threadmill and kept playing every free minute I got. They had this crafting site, where all crafters were listed with their skill, and I was like on place 13 on my server and I wanted to make it in the top10, so that meant harvesting materials for hours on end to improve the skill. In the end I had to cancel it because it got out of hand, so I'm back to singleplayer games now, it's much more chilled out.
