It's not so much the absence of mourning, as the crass response to the death of a child. An adult who dies, you have an idea of what that person did with their life. When a child dies, there was untold possibility in that life and now it's gone. That's what's tragic.

which ones were you reading?
if you've only read the ones about just colin/his son, then you haven't seen cruel (maddy/colin jokes are the cruel ones)

but a terrible tragedy overall for everyone involved. condolences to the family but i can't say I personally ever cared for him or the rest of the mcrae family (not trying to be insensitive though).

If I might interject, It's actually called Madden NFL (year), so the latest iteration is Madden NFL 08. More info here.

there was a photoshopped game box of collin mc rally, where the car was replaced a helicopter and the caption changed to collin mc crash. and then some stupid jokes about "series of crappy games being finaly over" and stuff like that

That's IT! I was meant this topic for people to pay their condolences, not to mock his death and argue about if his life or death was worth it or not, or his 5 year old son for that matter.
