I went to see motorhead on thursday and my ears are still ringing, Girlschool and In Flames were the supports and were amazing. Definitely the best gig I've been to despite the circle pit forming around me during in flames resulting in pain. Hopefully ears will return to normal in a few days...
So what are you guys' best gigs? |

Mine was U2 in Munich this summer. The supports were The Zutons and Keane. Despite the heavy rain at the beginning it was just amazing!

Queensryche in September when they came here, they performed their greatest hits in their first set stuff like Empire, Jet City Woman, Another rainy night without you, Take hold of the flames, etc then for the second set they performed their entire Operation Mindcrime album (That's like 15 tracks.) it was incredible, the band sounded incredible, Tate their lead singer, who's voice has been kinda bad for a bit, sounded really good, really good show where my ears and voice got shot Whoo.

Last gig I went to was, erm, the Dead Pets, Flogging Molly, some swedish punk band, some American hardcore band and Millencolin. The Dead Pets were ace - skacore's not really my thing but it's hard to resist them, especially when they're playing in their home town.
Before that was Ladytron, who were pretty damn good, although going on my own wasn't as much fun as it could have been, and Goldfrapp before that were amazing - Alison Goldfrapp rocks. |

Every single Gluecifer-gig i've been to... never heard a kick-a§§-P'n'R-band that played and sung SO spot-on and sounded almost exactly like on CD, if not better... plus Biff always had great entertaining value, too. Even better than The Hives. k:
LATE Edit to levitating nun: Sounds like a good choice for a gig, too... in fact, my first gig was a Motörhead-gig when I was 12 or 13 ("March ör die"-tour")... even ran into Mikkey Dee and Lemmy while a friend and I were going round the hall to take a smoke (yeah, we were SO cool... :[img]http://www.abandonia.com/forum/html/emoticons/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /> )... still got the ticket with their autographs... so maybe I should change my "greatest gig" to THAT one... |
