I received a message today saying that various website security certificates have expired, and would I like to renew them? The problem is that they expire in 2006.
For some strange reason, my computer's date reads 7/9/8197; I've changed the date back to 7/8/2005 yesterday, but somehow it changed itself again just now. Is there a way to fix it? |

I had Gator once. :blink: I got rid of it. When it was gone I had an extra 40mb left.

I'm not looking for programs that keep the time accurate; I'm looking for a solution to my problem. It seems that the date reset has affected my cookies as well as my security certificates.

If I where you I would run every spyware remover you can get your hands on as well as every viruschecker. My guess would be that it is one of those that is giving you grief.

You could use a time-server to sync your clock, using NTP-protocol: Some info on that....
We got it set up in our computerrooms, because indeed, virii and stupid users would alter the time and date... now it's reset at boot, so no prob there! |

It isn't a matter of my clock needing to be synchronized properly, it's a matter of finding out what causes the computer date to advance 6192 years. |
