Anyone recommend any good Amiga games to try? It was one of the better systems in its day for graphics and music, and its no surprise it was the main video editing machine back in the day with Video Toaster.
Since I don't know too much about Amiga's I thought I'd check out the Amiga emulator and try out some games. Thanks in advance. |

Dear God, where to start? There were so many great games in that time... I would advise you to got to http://www.back2roots.org/ and browse the large collection they have there, with screenshots and ratings, then just pick some and try em out.
PS: Amiga will never die! |

Thanks for the suggestions. Nice site and I'll try out those games.
I tried Disposable Hereos and was nicely surprised at how nice the graphics were for a game over 10 years old The amiga sure did have some nice graphic capabilities for its time. I dowloaded some other games but it said I can't boot them. These games were "hard drive" games so do I have to somehow install them virtually on a virtual hard drive? The regular floppy games work fine. I'm just a newbie when it comes to amiga. Or is there an amiga hard drive image I can get or create? |

its was mostly lightwave that made 3d so great on the amiga.. but the videotoaster obviously helped it be useful for professional studios to make stuff quicker.
i remember using real3d on my a600, and you could watch each line being sl....oow...ly... rendered |

I agree fully with JJXB. Defender Of The Crown and Wings were the two best games on the Amiga.

Have either of you played Turrican? One of the best Amiga games along with those two.
